Quantum to Divert $250,000 of Marketing
Spent into its Alliance Channel Program

The new strategy will see Quantum distributing sales leads directly to channel partners, enabling them to build their own customer base and grow their businesses around backup, recovery and archive solutions.
Steve Mackey, area sales director, Northern Europe, Quantum, said: "With difficult economic times ahead it is vital that we support our channel partners and customers as much as possible. This move represents a dramatic shift in our internal sales model and demonstrates Quantum’s commitment to its channel. By working closely with our partners and passing on appropriate sales leads, we are confident that more of our partners, and their customers, will benefit from Quantum’s products and solutions."
The move coincides with Quantum strengthening its overall channel team and focusing more resources on building a successful and sustainable channel programme. The new strategy will provide more opportunities for Quantum’s resellers to sign new accounts and will make room for its direct sales team to concentrate on signing more accounts and generating more leads for partners.

Further advances to the Quantum Alliance Programme for 2009 include:
- Project registration – The Opportunity Registration Programme, a system for delivering profitable, repeatable sales through the channel, has been revised and clarified to prevent channel conflict.
- Solutions selling – Further to the announcement of DXi Express, Quantum will be launching additional solutions selling packages to its partners, reducing sales cycles and elevating margins.
- Quantum sales – The UK sales and pre-sales technical team is available to help partners build solutions for backup issues and construct business cases for technology refreshers, competitive replacements and infrastructure designs.
