Mark Weiner CEO of Exanet

Mr. Weiner has had a 15-year career in the storage field in technical, sales and management roles. He’s a veteran of NetApp where, serving in various executive positions, he helped the company grow from a private company with less than $10M in sales to a $3 billion storage powerhouse. Following NetApp, Mr. Weiner served as the Executive Chairman of StoreAge Networking Technologies overseeing its successful acquisition by LSI Logic. Mr. Weiner has been serving as an executive at Exanet since 2007.
"Mark’s work with Exanet over the past 18 months has helped us refocus and establish a unique business model in our field that we feel will be disruptive to the storage industry. There’s a lot of excitement around it and today’s announcement reinforces and validates this approach," said Exanet Founder and Chairman Dr. Giora Yaron.

Also today, Exanet announced that Bert van der Zande has joined the company as Senior Vice President Global Sales. Mr. van der Zande is another veteran of NetApp. He worked at NetApp for more than eight years and was one of its most successful sales directors, constantly outpacing the growth of the company in the areas under his leadership. "Bert’s deep technical knowledge combined with his experience growing a field organization from the ground up will accelerate Exanet’s market penetration and ability to attract top talent,” said Mr. Weiner.
