This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 18, 2008 at 3:56 pmCoptech Digital Inc., a woman owned digital/offset printer and CD, DVD & VHS duplicator near Boston, is now offering high resolution digital thermal printing on CDs and DVDs.
Customers who need photographic quality printing on small quantity runs of CDs and DVDs now have a solution. Coptech Digital is offering very high quality CMYK printing onto CDs and DVDs with their new digital dye sublimation printing process. The print quality is up to 290 LPI, which is significantly higher than that of screen printing or even offset printing on CDs and DVDs. The resulting print is waterproof, scratchproof and UV light resistant.
"This is a very exciting new way to do better than offset quality printing onto CDs and DVDs for our customers who have smaller runs of 300 discs or less," said Tom Cherry, President of Coptech Digital. "Previously, small runs requiring photographic quality could only be done as paper labels. Now we can print right onto the discs at over 400 DPI. The print is gorgeous, and doesn’t run, smudge, or fade like inkjet. There are no films required either, so setup costs are reduced."
