InMage Joins LeftHand Technology Alliance Program
The two companies will provide DR and data protection solutions for enterprises.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 14, 2008 at 3:37 pmInMage Systems, Inc. has joined LeftHand Networks‘ Technology Alliance Program, providing customers with a best-in-class solution for disaster recovery, business continuity and data storage. The companies, both recognized earlier this year as Gartner ‘Cool Vendors’ in data protection and storage, respectively, have certified InMage’s DR-Scout software with LeftHand’s iSCSI storage area networks (SANs). The resulting solution is easy to manage, competitively priced, and provides customers with multiple levels of protection against virtually any type of data loss event.
InMage’s DR-Scout reduces the cost and complexity of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies. The software delivers continuous local backup and remote disaster recovery in one solution, improving recovery time and recovery point objectives across heterogeneous storage environments. LeftHand Networks’ iSCSI SAN is an integral component of an effective high availability/disaster recovery plan. The ideal storage repository for DR-Scout, LeftHand SANs are highly scalable and have a wide array of storage management features, including storage clustering, thin provisioning and replication.
"We are very pleased to have InMage Systems, a recognized data protection pioneer, as part of our Technology Alliance Program," said Larry Cormier, vice president of marketing, LeftHand Networks. "Today’s organizations need highly available storage and disaster recovery strategies for maximum business productivity. In addition to LeftHand Networks’ powerful iSCSI SANs, our customers can now also reap the benefits of InMage’s DR-Scout, a solution that has been validated by numerous organizations in data-centric and compliance-driven industries such as legal, financial services, healthcare and government."
"We are excited to work with LeftHand Networks as part of its Technology Alliance Program," said Peter O’Brien, vice president of business development, InMage Systems. "This is an ideal opportunity to provide joint customers the best of both worlds. The combination of DR-Scout’s innovative backup and disaster recovery capabilities with LeftHand’s powerful SAN technology results in a complete, value-driven high availability and data protection solution."
