Double-Take Helps PTLGateway

Double-Take Software, Inc. has enabled PTLGateway, a hosted application provider headquartered in Essex, United Kingdom, to launch software as a service (Saas) high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on a monthly, pay-as-you-go pricing model. The services combine PTLGateway’s existing hosted Virtual Private Server (VPS) offering with Double-Take Software data replication and failover solutions, allowing users to implement a comprehensive HA and DR plan, while avoiding large up-front capital expenditure.

“Given the current business climate, gaining sign-off for the capital expenditure required to implement effective systems continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure is increasingly difficult. PTLGateway is launching two product offerings. PrismHA provides real-time, fully operational mirrored VPS using Double-Take Full Server Failover. PrismDR provides server replication and rapid recovery using the recently launched Double-Take Software product, LiveWire. Livewire enhances PrismDR, as its tight integration with virtualisation enables PTLGateway to rapidly provision clients with remotely hosted backup VPS.
