Founded in May of 2000 and headquartered in Redding, CA, Cenatek is a privately-held company and a member of the Triple Five Group of Companies. It created one of the industry’s fastest SSD devices, called RAMdisk, with its own drivers and utilities, for accelerating a wide range of applications, and has an installed base of around 5,000 customer sites.
RAMDisk is a kernel-level driver that presents a standard disk drive to the OS, however, it stores and retrieves data from the system RAM on the motherboard instead of an actual, physical disk.
