AutoSave Essentials Backup Sofware Introduces by Avanquest

For PCs, at $40

Avanquest Software, a developer and publisher of business and consumer software for the global PC market, introduced AutoSave Essentials, the automated backup system that detects and stores essential computer files to protect families, digital media consumers and small business users against catastrophic data loss on their computers.

AutoSave Essentials takes the worry out of which files to store and safeguard by allowing users to define ‘favorite’ file types — photos, emails, financial records, music files, videos, web-settings or contacts — and automatically saving and routing them to the best available storage medium for protection against PC crashes or accidental deletion.

With an MSRP of just $39.95, AutoSave Essentials relieves PC users of the arduous process of manually creating multiple copies of their data, while leveraging a ‘Smart Backup Engine,’ which works in the background to ensure PC user’s interaction and productivity remain unaffected by the software’s automated backup process.

Most PC users understand the threats posed by computer viruses and malware, but many often neglect to protect valuable files and data from equally damaging data loss due to computer crashes or human error,” said Ryan Smith, Director of Product Marketing, Avanquest Publishing USA. “AutoSave Essentials offers the easiest, most user-friendly way to ensure those important files are safeguarded for years to come.”

AutoSave Essentials’ streamlined backup solution provides a ‘Digital Life Insurance Policy’ against loss of critical data that:

  • Guides users through an intuitive interface to easily organize files into ‘favorite’ file types that the software automatically remembers as most important to the user and designates for storage; and,
  • Works in the background to identify the optimal backup destination among available external storage media — whether flash drive, external hard drive, CD/DVD/Blu-Ray burner, network hard drive or FTP server — then automatically creates the destination folder and copies the files for the user.

Avanquest Essentials monitors and stores any new or recently changed files to ensure a backup is always up-to-date. For users with older computers, or those running processor intensive programs, backups can be set for system start-up or scheduled times according to the user’s personal preference.

In the event the PC is not connected to an external storage device, users will appreciate the program’s intelligent tracking mode that logs any required backups, and instantly transfers the files once the device is reconnected. For battery-conscious laptop users on-the-go, tracking mode also saves power by disabling backups until the user can connect to a power outlet.

A story board video and a free trial version of AutoSave Essentials are available for download on the web.

Avanquest is also making the solution available to OEM PC and storage manufacturers as well as internet service providers (ISPs) interested in bundling a data backup solution with end-user products and services. The OEM/ISP version of AutoSave Essentials includes a customizable user interface for branding with corporate images and logos and a wide variety of color schemes and graphics to match a provider’s existing end-user software.
