Intronis Employed Exigen to Optimize its Intelliblox Functionality

Exigen Services, the next generation application outsourcing provider, has helped to dramatically increase the efficiency for a major component of Intronis Technologies’ online backup and archiving software, eSureIT. Intronis Technologies, a leading provider of online backup and archiving services, employed Exigen Services in its quest to optimize their Intelliblox functionality, to drastically reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a backup.

Intelliblox, a utility within the eSureIT online backup, archiving and recovery software suite, automatically scans files within designated backup folder-sets on a user’s server and compares them to previously archived documents. The Intelliblox technology is then able to extract just the blocks of data that have changed from the old version to the new. As only these blocks need to be backed up, Intelliblox significantly reduces the total file storage size, bandwidth requirements and subsequently, the user’s monthly storage fees. An average daily backup of 150 gigabytes (GBs) can now be reduced to as little as 4GBs, reducing storage and bandwidth costs for customers by as much as 50 percent.
