Future Hosting Upgrades Data Backup Service

Future Hosting, LLC, an Internet Solutions provider serving SMBs and enterprises announced an upgrade to its next-generation Future Protect data backup service, which provides around-the-clock backup for Virtual Private Servers and Dedicated Servers.

With today’s upgrades, Future Protect now offers backup intervals as short as two hours. In the event of a disaster, data loss is limited to a maximum of the most recent two hours, virtually eliminating the threat of a major outage. Previously Future Protect  offered six hour backup intervals.

Today’s upgrade also introduces a new MySQL add-on component, enabling the system to provide near-Continuous protection for active MySQL databases. The feature allows for granular restoration of segments of data, so server administrators can selectively choose which data they want to retrieve from a past restore point.

Future Protect is a data protection service developed exclusively for Future Hosting customers. Using Continuous Data Protection technology, Future Protect creates complete backups every two hours of all customer data. The data is then encrypted and archived on a remote backup server.
