Zmanda Online Backup Faster for 3G iPhone

The new iPhone is chock-full of new, zippy applications and will harness the speed of a 3G network that will enable downloads at near-broadband speeds. The ultra-fast 3G network will enable some corporate IT users to perform day-to-day network management tasks that were previously not possible using handheld devices. For example, DBAs or system administrators who are responsible for backup and recovery, can now perform these tasks using Amanda Enterprise and Zmanda Recovery Manager on an iPhone.

The iPhone will support secure, enterprise-class Internet communication by using tools such as IPSec VPN, VPN-1 and WPA2/802.11x. These robust security levels, along with the ability to create specific login credentials for individual users, is expected to drive corporate demand for the iPhone. Using the new iPhone on the 3G network will enable Zmanda customers to:
