In addition to his roles as CMO and executive director
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 8, 2008 at 3:41 pmThe Board of nCipher plc announces that Ira Zalesin, formerly Chief Operating Officer North America, has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer Global.
In addition to his roles as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Director, Ira (52) now assumes the position of COO Global, superseding his role as COO North America. With nCipher now a truly global business, with 50% of revenues coming from EMEA, 40% from the US and 10% from AsiaPac, the Board felt it was important that this globalization was reflected in nCipher’s management structure. The introduction of this central decision-making process is intended to create a cohesive customer experience and establish a uniform corporate identity. On an operational level, it is expected to lead to the creation and sharing of knowledge bases and best practices from across the Group’s diverse regions, thus minimizing unnecessary localization efforts and increasing efficiencies.
Commenting on the appointment, Geoffrey Finlay, Chief Executive, said: “This new role is crucial to enabling nCipher to fulfill its potential as a global company. As COO Global, I am confident that Ira will bring cohesive decision-making to the management structure, creating a more streamlined and uniform process to the management of the Group. Ira has been devoted to leveraging our position in the rapidly growing global security market in North America as COO North America and I know he will have the same dedication in his new role.”
Ira Zalesin, COO Global, added: “The creation of this role means that nCipher is now poised to become a truly integrated company as we continue our rapid global expansion. As COO Global, I can now apply an appropriate level of standardization across the Group as well as ensure that best practices and knowledge are shared across all regions. In addition, nCipher will benefit from a more efficient decision making process, and be able to service more effectively its clients’ increasingly global security needs. nCipher deals extensively with global companies and this will allow the Company to match its customers’ modus operandi and better satisfy their expectations by providing a single brand and establishing a single nCipher experience.”
