Dell: Fiscal 1Q09 Financial Results
Storage revenue down sequentially 3% though the addition of EqualLogic
By Jean Jacques Maleval | June 3, 2008 at 3:55 pmDell reported record fiscal first quarter revenue of $16 billion, a 9% increase, and earnings of $0.38 cents per share, a 12 percent increase. The results were driven by better-than-industry growth of commercial and consumer products and services, and lower operating expense as a percent of revenue.
But, if storage sales, at $631 million for the quarter (1Q09) ended on May 2, 2008 grew 15% annually, they decrease 3% sequentially though the addition of EqualLogic.
