SINGULUS Received Orders for 16 DVD or Blu-Ray Production Systems

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 23, 2008 at 3:37 pmAt the MEDIA-TECH Expo, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES clinched a number of orders for its SKYLINE CD production systems, SPACELINE DVD production systems and also further Blu-ray production systems. The combined value of these orders is around €15 million.
SINGULUS’ dominant market position specifically for Blu-ray disc replication lines was further highlighted at Frankfurt. Interest was focused on the BLULINE II from SINGULUS, the only machine for Blu-ray discs to be exhibited at the show that is designed for the production of Blu-ray discs with a storage capacity of 50 Gbytes. It attracted a stream of visitors throughout the entire show.

Last May 8, SINGULUS announced 21 Blu-ray lines ordered in the first quarter of 2008 and forecasted about 30 orders for the year. "For the Blu-ray segment, a market share of more than 65 % is targeted," stated the company.
