AdviStorTo Resell PivotStor

AdviStor, Inc., a storage integrator and solutions provider that offers a wide range of solutions to meet current and future data protection challenges, announced it has begun making data protection products from PivotStor available to its customers.

AdviStor said it will resell PivotStor’s innovative EP-Series of email management appliances to its customers. PivotStor, which began marketing its products last year, is a manufacturer dedicated to delivering best-of-breed data protection, coupled with proven reliability and cost-effective performance.

"Products like the EP-Series truly deliver a significant ‘bang for the buck,’ for both us and our customers," said Bob King, AdviStor’s vice president of sales and marketing. King noted the EP-Series marks AdviStor’s entry into the email and anti-spam market; he said that other companies’ point solutions, like Barracuda, only address one challenge, while the EP-Series, with its integrated anti-spam, anti-virus, archiving and encryption capabilities, enables his team to recommend one easy-to-operate product to AdviStor’s clients.

King also said that his existing relationships with key PivotStor executives, some stretching back 20 years or more, was a key factor in his decision to take on the PivotStor line. "Trust is a key factor in our business," King said. "Knowing and trusting the PivotStor team really reduced our research time; we knew immediately that they are an acceptable vendor whose word can be trusted." PivotStor was founded by storage industry veterans with more than two centuries’ collective experience at companies such as Quantum, Overland Data, Certance, BakBone and more. The company is focused on delivering a complete suite of data protection solutions that cost-effectively solve real customer problems.
