Data Protection Services Teams With Server Armory

Data Protection Services (DPS), provider of online backup and disaster recovery solutions to companies and organizations throughout the United States and Canada, announced a teaming agreement with Server Armory, a regional data center serving the southeast United States. Server Armory will provide hosting, server colocation, and other managed security and network services at the DPS Hammond, LA facility.

“This is a win-win for clients of Server Armory and Data Protection Services,” said DPS CEO Jeff Danos. “The DPS facility has redundant capacity systems and multiple distribution paths in place and is supported with dual auxiliary power generations systems fueled by two separate fuel sources. These are the critical elements that separate the commonplace Tier One and Tier Two data centers from the exceptional performance standards of a high-end Tier Four data center.” Added Danos, “Server Armory’s operational requirements dovetailed perfectly with DPS’s desire to provide clients with a safe, secure place to locate or colocate servers.”

There will be no overlapping services under the teaming arrangement. DPS will continue to offer high-end online backup to business clients and provide mobile vault restores as needed. Server Armory adds the ability for DPS to rapidly transfer data to the clients’ own servers for immediate deployment, a decided advantage for businesses that desire to minimize downtime.
