Riverbed Adds to Team in US Federal Market

federal market team of industry veterans Bill Hartwell and Susan Keys.
Hartwell joins the company as general manager and senior director, and
Keys as director of business and channels development for the Federal
Markets Division. In their new roles, Hartwell and Keys will leverage
past experience with leading enterprise solutions providers working with
federal civilian agencies, the Department of Defense and the
intelligence community to help ensure that Riverbed®
WDS solutions continue to meet the needs of the US federal market.
Prior to joining Riverbed, Hartwell was vice president of business and
channel development of government markets at Motorola, where he
developed sales, engineering, business and channel development teams to
drive enterprise mobility solutions in the public sector markets. In
addition, he was vice president of the federal government area at Symbol
Technologies prior to its acquisition by Motorola. Prior to his tenure
at Symbol, Hartwell spent eight years at Cisco where he developed senior
sales, systems engineering, channels and business development teams with
extensive customer and industry knowledge.
Keys also held tenure at Cisco as director of Cisco’s Federal System
Internet Business Solutions Group, where her role focused on providing
Internet Solutions to the federal market. The solutions her group
provided included developing and translating federal thought leadership
into Internet solutions and communicating those requirements internally
to a virtual public sector team that crossed all Internet solutions and
lines of business within Cisco. Since her time at Cisco, Keys was a vice
president at Oracle, where she helped lead federal consulting sales.
Most recently, Keys co-founded Technology Vision Consulting, which
provides Technology Enablement Services (TES) to help federal and
commercial customers maximize IT investments and meet business
enablement objectives.
