Infrastructure Technology Solutions (ITS) Division announced a
strategic distribution agreement with Data Domain. The new North America agreement
includes Data Domain’s complete line of deduplication storage systems,
which covers the innovator’s Appliance Series, DDX Array Series,
Gateway Series, Replicator Software, Virtual Tape Library Software and
the new DD120 remote office protection system for distributed
enterprises.
According to ITS Division vice president Scott Look, Data Domain
has been on partners’ most wanted list for some time and is a solid
addition to Ingram Micro’s growing portfolio of storage products and
solutions.
"Data Domain’s decision to trust our team to take its products to a
broader market speaks volumes for the value-add and technical expertise
found within Ingram Micro and our ITS Division and enables us to offer
partners a wider variety of high quality, enterprise-class storage
systems," said Look. "Data Domain is renowned as one of the IT
industry’s fastest-growing vendors, and its deduplication storage
systems are proven to help channel partners optimize three of today’s
hottest IT applications — disk backup, archiving and network-based
disaster recovery."
Since releasing its first product in 2004, Data Domain has
sustained fifteen consecutive quarters of growth and earned numerous
industry accolades for product innovation and sales revenues. "Our new
relationship with Ingram Micro will help us strengthen our
relationships with solution providers in the U.S. and Canada and
enhance our ability to partner and drive more value into our channel
programs," said Beth White, vice president of marketing, Data Domain.
As part of the distribution agreement, Ingram Micro’s ITS Division
is also providing new and existing Data Domain partners with technical
and sales enablement education, as well as market positioning to help
them incorporate deduplication storage into an existing technology
practice. Field resources such as credit analysts and sales, marketing,
and technical engineers are also available to help Data Domain partners
grow their business and expand their ability to provide exceptional
service to their customers.
