and performance for the affordable DataCove e-mail archival appliance.
DataCove allows organizations of all sizes to index and archive e-mails
and instant messages in compliance with new changes to Federal Rules of
Civil Procedure (FRCP) and e-discovery requirements.
DataCove OS 4.0, features effortless search and retrieval of
both email and IM, redundant disk and tape archiving, a fully
searchable database with intuitive web-based menus and automatic
archival to WORM media for cost effective long term data archival.
DataCove OS 4.0 upgrades include an upgraded
database for significant performance improvements and faster searches
with lower server loads; LDAP Active Directory authentication with
single sign-on and a wizard for easy setup; new permissions system with
tree-structure for user-selectable granularity; and de-duplication,
which minimizes the amount of space used for storing attachments.
Single instance storage is utilized to maximize efficiency of storage
space and the retrieval process.
Other upgrades
include an advanced search capability for date range, to, from, email
body, specific attachment content and types; alphabetized and paginated
search results; and advanced compression of emails that are stored on
the disk.
The plug-and-play appliance can be installed anywhere in a network and deployed in less than 90 minutes.
Utilizing
e-mail journaling or SMTP push technology, allows DataCove to archive
email for virtually any type of network environment. DataCove
integrates with all email systems including Microsoft Exchange, Lotus
Notes, Novell Groupwise, SendMail.
Pricing starts at $4,000 for DataCove 320 email archival solution and
$1995 for DataCove IM80 solution. Annual update licenses start at $995.
