Sundar Balasubramanian Joins EMC India

EMC Data Storage Services India announced the appointment of Sundar Balasubramanian as general manager, strategy and business productivity at the EMC India Center of Excellence (COE), EMC’s largest R&D centre outside of North America.

Balasubramanian will be responsible for incubating and growing new products and solutions in high growth markets such as India and will play a strategic role in developing COE’s product management capabilities for global markets.

He will also oversee image-building of the COE, corporate social responsibility initiatives, outreach programs with universities, and will lead partner relationships for COE-led initiatives.

Based in Bangalore he will report to Sarv Saravanan, vice president and managing director, EMC India COE.

Earlier he was with Microsoft India where he was director of Education and Employability for the Emerging Market Group. He is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Mumbai and hold a MBA from IIM, Calcutta.
