OVHcloud Launches Object Storage Standard 3-AZ in Paris

OVHcloud SAS announces the availability of object storage in its multi-availability zone located in the Paris Region. Building on its growing public cloud portfolio comprised of more than 40 products and services.

OVHcloud offers a new multi-availability zone deployment model for its Object Storage solution.
 
Object Storage – Standard 3-AZ is designed to meet stringent resiliency requirements, offering both data availability and service continuity, making it highly suitable for critical cloud workloads in industries such as banking, healthcare, insurance and government organizations.

Resiliency for mission critical Cloud data 
In a number of verticals, including such as e-commerce, online platforms, media streaming, B2B applications and financial services, sensitive and mission critical applications require both continuous access to data and redundant failover to remain highly available. For these applications, Object Storage – Standard 3-AZ distributes data across 3 availability zones. Leveraging 3 distinct data centers located in close proximity (a few kilometers between each AZ), the infrastructure has been specifically designed to withstand the loss of an availability zone. Each AZ also has its own distinct power source and a low latency network ensuring data remains safe and accessible even if one AZ is affected by an outage.
 
In the event of an outage, the ability to restore data from 3-AZ storage minimizes downtime maintaining BC and reducing recovery time. A 3-AZ deployment model prevents services interruptions: in the event of an incident affecting one of the sites of the 3-AZ, storage remains operational and accessible in the 2 remaining available zones. In line with its bold ambitions, OVHcloud Object Storage – Standard 3-AZ is backed by an SLA of 99.99%.
 
To further strengthen the inherent resiliency of the 3-AZ architecture, and for even greater data security, 3-AZ customers have the option of backing up their data with a single click to another 1-AZ region located in France. The Offsite Replication option automatically replicates data hosted in the Paris region to one of the OVHcloud sites in France: Strasbourg, Gravelines or Roubaix.
 
To better serve its customers, the OVHcloud multi availability zones product roadmap includes a number of public cloud products. This spring, the Group is launching Beta versions of solutions, such as Compute instances (B3, C3 and R3), Block Storage and advanced Network solutions to be consumed in multi availability zones deployment model.
 
Reversible solution with high data protection standards 
OVHcloud Object Storage – Standard 3-AZ is S3 compatible and meets market standards with native support for asynchronous replication, object versioning and object lock. It offers optimal interoperability in multi-cloud environments and is compatible with a host of recognized storage solutions such as Veeam, HYCU and Nextcloud.
 
Leveraging the highest security and data protection standards in the form of ISO 27001 certification, 3-AZ Paris Region has received the HDS certification.
 
Pricing and availability 
Object Storage – Standard 3-AZ is available to European customers with the Paris 3-AZ Region. Pricing starts at €14/TB a month with no egress fees. Volumes over 500TB are priced at €11/TB a month, with no egress fees. The optional offsite replication feature is priced at an additional €4/TB a month.
