The control server leverages NetApp's Fpolicy, from ONTAP 9, 10 and up, to control behavior of the Filer and other scale-out servers can be added to control large configurations. It supports on-premises systems but also Amazon FSx for NetApp and Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
