History 2005: Pat Martin, 64, Decided not to Continue on as CEO of StorageTek

Pat Martin, 64, has decided not to continue on as CEO of StorageTek, upon expiration of his contract on June 30, 2006.

He’s been president, chairman and CEO of the company since 2000 after spending 23 years at Xerox.

The tape company has also appointed Nigel Dessau as chief marketing officer, reporting to Martin. Dessau spent nearly 20 years at IBM, most recently as VP of virtualization solutions in the systems and technology group.
