Jason Wakeam CRO, Backblaze

Backblaze, Inc. appointed Jason Wakeam as the company’s first chief revenue officer (CRO).

An industry veteran with nearly 3 decades of global leadership experience, he brings a track record of driving growth and innovation at technology companies. He previously served as a VP of global sales at SnapLogic. He has also held leadership roles in a range of public and private companies including Cloudera, Microsoft, and Hewlett-Packard. In his new role, he will spearhead the company’s overall sales strategy, with a focus on expanding market share and driving new revenue opportunities.

He succeeds Nilay Patel, who previously served as VP of sales, and has now transitioned to oversee the company’s recently established new markets team with a special focus on AI.
