Sony Interactive Entertainment Assigned Patent

Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc., Tokyo, Japan, has been assigned a patent (11817120) developed by Hirose, Kenji, Tokyo, Japan, for “optical disc drive and electronic equipment.“

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A conveying roller contacts and conveys an optical disc toward a position of a spindle motor when the conveying roller is in a first roller position, and does not contact the optical disc when the conveying roller is in a second roller position. A slider places the conveying roller in the first roller position when the slider is in a first operation member position, and places the conveying roller in the second roller position when the slider is in a second operation member position. A first transmission mechanism transmits rotation of a loading motor to the conveying roller. A second transmission mechanism transmits the rotation of the loading motor to the slider. A distribution mechanism engages with each of the first transmission mechanism and the second transmission mechanism to distribute the rotation of the loading motor to the first transmission mechanism and the second transmission mechanism.”
