- A sum of several million dollars, the exact amount of which was not disclosed, has been invested into Mountain View Data by companies including Hitachi and ADTX, a storage hardware vendor.
- $1 million for SAM company Deepfile, involved in NAS software.
- $1 million for Storage Alliance, specialized in storage for the petroleum industry.
- $4 million in its first financial round for RASilient Systems, in networked storage for SMBs.
- $6 million for EVault, in D2D backup.
- $6.2 million for Atempo, publisher of Time Navigator software.
- $10 million for storage service provider LiveVault, which raised $20 million since late 2001.
- $10.5 million for SSP Arsenal Digital Solutions, which will have raised a total of more than $63 million.
- $12 million for storage software firm AppiQ in its 2nd round of VC financing, bringing the total funds raised to $20 million.
- $15 million for software company Incipient, bringing its total to $25 million.
- $15 million for a new total of $27 million for Equallogic, involved in iSCSI storage arrays.
- $20 million for LeftHand Networks, specialized in IP storage arrays, bringing the total equity investment to $39 million.
- $20 million for Aristos Logic in storage processing engines, for a total of $53.5 million in three rounds.
- $52 million by Matrix Semiconductor, developer of a new 3D solid-state non volatile memory, for total funding of $147 million; Seagate Technology among its new investors.
