NAND and SSD Markets Continue to Struggle in CQ1 ’23 with Units and Exabytes Declining Sequentially
Data center contraction contributed to the declines to start 2023
- Overall unit shipments dropped 15.1% Q/Q to 64.25 million, with exabytes also down, by 13.2%, to 57.06.
- Enterprise PCle was hit especially hard.
- SAS SSDs were a bright spot for the enterprise segment.
- Enterprise SATA SSDs also experienced significant declines.
- Client SSDs rose slightly.
- Total NAND bit shipments declined 2.3% from the previous quarter to 148.19EB.
