Sabrent DS-4SSDNE 4-Bay USB Type-C External SSD Docking Station

Sabrent, Inc. has launched the DS-4SSDNE, a 4-bay external SSDs docking station for Rocket XTRM-Q, Rocket nano, Rocket Pro with USB Type-C, 10Gb/s speeds, cooling fan, LED indicators (DS-4BNE). It also works with the firm’s line of CFexpress and SD card readers.

The DS-4SSDNE allows to connect up to 4 external SSDs or card readers with minimal fuss. Plug in the station’s power supply and connect the included Type-C to Type-C cable from the station to host computer, and off user go. Works with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.

Each drive or port has its own power status LED and may be accessed individually by the system; know exactly which bays are populated at a glance. The connection allows for up to 10Gb/s in transfer bandwidth, and the power supply additionally makes sure user is not limited by host port power constraints. Connection will always be reliable and fast.

Inserted devices and drives are kept cool even under prolonged use, thanks to the top-mounted fan. This fan can be turned on or off via a dedicated button with an LED to indicate its power status. The station also has its own button and LED for control and to demonstrate power status.

USB connectivity is optimally provided through USB 3.2 Gen 2×1. Older ports are supported through backward compatibility, but speeds will be dependent on the port and your hardware. The included power supply has support for 100-240V AC input.

Quadruple docking station:
Park up to 4 of external SSDs in one place. USB Type-C M.2 PCIe enclosures can slide into the dock without tools. It also supports certain USB-C card readers.

Independence:
Each drive or port is individually accessible. Forward-facing LEDs indicate the power status of each one, with additional indicators for station and fan power. Have control of the station, its fan, and its bays.

Quick access:
The Type-C to Type-C cable conveniently connects the device to computer at up to 10Gb/s over USB 3.2 Gen 2×1. Backward compatible with USB 3.0/2.0/1.1 at respective speeds. No drivers are required.

Keep cool at speed:
The docking station comes with a built-in 80x80x15mm cooling fan beneath a safe shroud that can be turned on or off as needed with its own button. Devices won’t overheat even after hours of sustained operation.
