Exascend 2.5-Inch SI3 and SE3 Series Up to 8TB Industrial 6Gb SATA SSDs
Latencies of 120µs/80µs, QoS of 200µ/300µ (@99.99), and 98,000/90,000 4K random IO/s for RW performance, optional hardware power loss protection service
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 8, 2022 at 2:02 pmExascend, Inc. announced 8TB capacities for its SI3 and SE3 series 2.5” SSDs, up from 4TB previously.
The upgrade extends the range of storage in these 2 product lines that features 2.5”, M.2 and – with SI3 – mSATA form factors.
SATA performance for industrial and enterprise use
The SI3 series is an industrial SATA-3 line, which features industrial-grade hardware with wide temperature support, allowing it to withstand rugged conditions and temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. It is currently deployed in data-intensive, high-reliability transportation data logging, surveillance, edge server, aerospace, and ADAS applications. The SE3, on the other hand, is optimized for enterprise workloads and features high sustained write performance for constant operation. With up to 550MB/s sustained read and 535MB/s sustained write, both product lines push the limits of the 6Gb SATA interface even under sustained load.
Optional hardware power loss protection available
The SI3 and SE3 lines are customizable with optional hardware power loss protection for extra safeguards vs. power issues in critical applications. The company’s customization services allow the SI3 and SE3 series to be optimized according to clients’ needs. What’s more, the SSDs feature a range of flash management technologies, including global wear-leveling, SuperCruise, AES-256, TCG Opal, Power Tuning, Unlimited Over-Provisioning.
With latencies of 120µs/80µs, high QoS of 200µ/300µ (@99.99), and 98,000/90,000 4K random IO/s for RW performance, and the optional hardware power loss protection service available, the SI3 and SE3 series are a solution for industrial and enterprise applications that demand reliable ‘always-on’ operation and high throughput data processing capabilities.
The SI3 and SE3 series SATA-3 2.5” 8 TB SSDs are available for sampling and order through the company and its authorized distributors WW.
