Xopero/GitProtect.io Joined GitLab Alliance Partner Program to Automate Source Code Backup and Make It Part of DevOps

GitLab is ‘The One DevOps Platform’ for software innovation. This relationship delivers automated data protection, instant restore, and DR features for uninterrupted development, IT operations continuity, and compliance.

With GitProtect.io, joint customers can backup repositories and metadata, as well as groups and subgroups with related data. This automated backup software aims to replace internally written scripts and snapshots, which are usually insufficient, besides time- and work-consuming as well. Thus GitProtect.io for GitLab enhances automated data protection, provides multiple restore options (including granular restore) and DR technology as well as a central management console that reduces administrative overhead and allows IT managers to focus on what’s most important – development and growth generation while staying compliant.

The mission behind this project is to support DevSecOps and include backup as an inherent part of the pipeline so that no development team ever loses a single line of source code.

The software protects joint customers through automatic repository and metadata, recurring backups, unlimited retention, a data-driven central management console, easy monitoring, and most of all, DR features. It’s compatible with nearly any storage (cloud and local) so there is no need to invest in an additional IT infrastructure. GitLab customers can bring their own storage or use free company’s cloud storage included.
