Quintessencelabs Assigned Patent

Quintessencelabs Pty Ltd., Deakin, Australia, has been assigned a patent (11,341,251) developed by Leiseboer, John, Sharma, Vikram, and Chong, Ken Li, Deakin, Australia, for an “encryption enabling storage systems.“

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A system includes a data storage device containing encrypted data to be decrypted, and a VZ storage device containing a key material for decrypting data, wherein the VZ storage device decrypts the encrypted data by consuming a portion of the key material and stores the decrypted data in the consumed portion of the key material.”
