History (1999): Avatar in Bankruptcy

US periodical PC Computing announced the bankruptcy of Avatar Peripherals, inventor of the 2.5-inch removable HDD drive.

Every letter we sent to its US subsidiary was returned address unknown, and we tried in vain to reach its Thai HQ by phone for comment.
