German Neumonda Brings Intelligent Memory From Hong Kong to Americas

Mike Amidi elected global VP of technology and GM of Intelligent Memory Americas

AmidiNeumonda GmbH, a holding company that governs a complete specialty memory portfolio, expands the DRAM and flash product range of its Intelligent Memory Ltd. (IM) subsidiary into the Americas by bringing in Mike Amidi as new member of its executive management team.

The executive and veteran of the memory and storage industries with over 30 years experience in DRAM and flash product design and development will oversee all IM technologies that serve the industrial, automotive, and embedded markets.

I’m thrilled to join the executive management team of Neumonda, a Walden International backed company, and take the responsibility of expanding our product portfolios into the global Industrial and Embedded markets. My Intelligent Memory team will expand our existing specialty branded DRAM product portfolios with our brand new flash based portfolio of specialty solutions for the server storage market,” said Amidi.
 
He has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor and technology industries where he spent the last 25 years in the solid state storage space. He held various upper management and executive positions in companies such as sTEC (A Western Digital Company), SMART Modular Technologies, Netlist, Western Digital, and Xitore. As part of his executive responsibilities, he managed business units with over $250 million P&L and led diversified teams across geographically dispersed areas in USA, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Brazil.
 
Among his accomplishments, he has served as advisory board member of Flash Memory Summit since 2017 and holds 28 granted and issued patents through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also authored several technical publications in the DRAM and storage space.
 
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a MBA degree with concentration on Finance in addition to 2 executive certificates from the Wharton Business School of University of Pennsylvania.
