History (1998): Seagate Closed Two European HDD Assembly Plants

Seagate Technology has less and less confidence in Europe for its production facilities.

Two HDD assembly plants were shut down, one in Italy, the other in Ireland, back at the beginning of the year.

This time, the company is seeking a buyer for its chip plant in Livingston, Scotland.
