IBM recommends that you fix this vulnerability by upgrading affected versions of IBM SAN Volume Controller, Storwize V7000, Storwize V5000 and V5100, Storwize V5000E, Spectrum Virtualize Software, Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud, FlashSystem V9000, FlashSystem 9100 Family, FlashSystem 9200, FlashSystem 7200 and FlashSystem 5000 to the following code levels or higher:

• 8.2.1.14

• 8.3.1.6

• 8.4.0.5

Workarounds and mitigations
The attacker needs to be authenticated as a user on the system to exploit this vulnerability, so it may be mitigated by only configuring users that can be trusted with administrator privileges.
