Making data erasure services available to government
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 10, 2021 at 2:31 pmShowing its commitment to cybersecurity growth in Vietnam, Blancco Technology Group opened a new branch office in Vietnam.
“Globally, the digital transformation brought on by COVID has emphasized the need for government organizations and enterprises to exercise even greater levels of vigilance at every point of the data lifecycle,” said Quang Cao, Vietnam regional manager. “Vietnam’s continued expansion within the cybersecurity industry clearly shows that risk mitigation and data protection are top priorities nationwide-and those are areas we’re well-prepared to address when confidential or sensitive data is no longer needed.“
Blancco data erasure services provide government and enterprise organizations with a way to remove redundant, old, or trivial data from active environments or decommissioned storage devices without damaging the devices themselves. Data is rendered permanently inaccessible, leaving them safe to reuse, donate, sell, recycle or return to a lessor or manufacturer.
Erasures are also verified and certified to meet standards, enabling organizations to comply with data protection and privacy requirements based in national cyber security laws and industry standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.
Blancco originated in Finland and grew to operate globally. With more than 5 years of conducting business in Vietnam, Blancco is well-positioned to meet the country’s growing demand for software-based data sanitization services coming from government agencies, banks, and enterprises.
Blancco’s new Hanoi office now also fulfills the 2018 law on cybersecurity clause that requires vendors to have branches or representative offices in Vietnam-a requirement that is important to Vietnam’s public sector organizations.
“Our commitment to supporting Vietnam’s cybersecurity stance is steadfast,” said Quang. “That also applies to protecting the personal data of Vietnam’s citizens. To do that, organizations need to have access to top-rated tools. We are very pleased to have a representative office here in the area to help us provide that.“
The Blancco Vietnam Office is located on the 16th floor of the Daeha Business Center in Hanoi.
