To provide intelligent archiving in hybrid cloud environment
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 7, 2021 at 2:30 pmWasabi Technologies, Inc. announced a new certification by Veritas Technologies, LLC.
The certification provides Veritas Enterprise Vault customers with the opportunity to store, manage and archive data to Wasabi’s cloud infrastructure.
Veritas Enterprise Vault is a data management solution that takes the guesswork out of archiving business data. It targets 100 different content sources-including email, Office 365, and Slack-ensuring virtually all communications and content can be captured into a single location and stored through de-dupe and compression.
By certifying the use of Wasabi for primary and secondary storage via the S3 protocol, Enterprise Vault users can leverage a hybrid cloud environment enabling more flexible capacity and increased data accessibility anytime, anywhere. Wasabi’s cloud storage is 80% less expensive and faster than first-gen cloud vendors creating cost efficiencies over on premises storage alone without compromising on performance.
“Veritas Enterprise Vault customers turn to us to enhance their data management capabilities and provide intelligent archival for all content sources,” said David Scott, senior director product management for digital compliance, Veritas. “By utilizing Wasabi’s flexible cloud infrastructure, customers have expanded options for deploying single, hybrid or multi-cloud storage in their archive environment.“
Data stored on Wasabi is treated as hot data, meaning Enterprise Vault customers can archive and access data with faster restores all while viewing and managing through Veritas’ single user interface. Wasabi’s flexible storage capacity without egress fees provide a predictable pricing model allowing customers to manage their changing storage needs, regardless of whether it’s structured or unstructured.
“Managing the vast amounts of structured and unstructured data passing through the organization has become increasingly challenging, particularly when considering the need to store most of this data to meet compliance requirements and to fuel future strategic initiatives,” said Wasabi CEO and co-founder, David Friend. “This scenario has created strains on existing storage capacity as well as the solutions used to manage and archive this data. Veritas has been an industry leader in enabling intelligent data management across the enterprise. We’re excited to offer Veritas customers all of the cloud storage performance, reliability and flexibility that Wasabi can provide.“
