Exascend Signs With Mouser Electronics
To supply industrial-grade SSDs with up to 8TB capacity
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 31, 2021 at 2:30 pmExascend, Inc., a service-oriented and customization-focused solid-state storage company specializing in high-capacity, and customizable SATA and PCIe NVMe SSD solutions, announces a global distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with a wide selection of semiconductors and electronic components.
The Exascend product line includes the industrial-class PI3, SI3, SI2 series – as well as the enterprise PE3 series SSDs – across the M.2, U.2, 2.5“, and mSATA form factors.
“We are excited to bring Exascend’s industrial and enterprise products to new customers through our partners at Mouser,” said Gordon Chen, VP sales. “Mouser is a key partner for Exascend as we accelerate our international growth in 2021 and beyond.“
The PI3 series SSDs available through Mouser are tough, high-capacity, and high-speed PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSDs engineered exclusively for applications that demand maximum ruggedness. The PI3 series is available in capacities up to 8TB, capable of sustained sequential read performance of 3,200 MB/s and sequential write performance of 1,700 MB/s. They are convenient for use in applications such as edge servers, transportation, telemetry, data logging storage, and mission-critical solutions. The SI3 and the SI2 series SSDs are industrial-grade SATA 3 devices with 3D TLC and MLC NAND flash respectively, offering speed and low latency with capacities up to 4 TB.
The PI3, SI3, and SI2 series are designed for industrial and rugged applications – such as wide temperature-support and protection vs. neutron single event upsets (NSEUs) – and offer TCG Opal 2.0, using hardware encryption technology to secure data stored. These features combined with storage engineering expertise qualifies Exascend’s industrial-grade lineup for applications that demand extreme ruggedness, unwavering reliability, and fortified data security with legacy support.
Mouser also offers Exascend’s enterprise-grade PE3 series PCIe Gen3x4 SSDs that feature a temperature range of 0 to 70 ºC, and capacities up to 7.68TB. The PE3 series SSDs are capable of sequential read performance of 3,200 MB/s and sequential write performance of 2,000 MB/s.
Exascend products are built on in-house developed hardware and firmware platforms, and engineered with Marvell’s SSD controllers, targeting enterprise and industrial applications such as AI, autonomous driving, edge storage, industrial automation, cinematography, telemetry, and mission-critical solutions.
Company’s patented algorithm continuously monitors drive thermals, and regulates drive performance to improve SSD reliability, simultaneously enhancing sustained performance and QoS by a factor of 10.
For customers who demand value-add customization and features, the firm offers flexible and timely firmware and hardware customization services to deliver unique and differentiated solutions – delivering customization and prototyping services in as little as 30 days. Its custom solutions are already deployed in autonomous driving, cinematography, mission critical applications, and more.
