Last March 26, there was already a company’s IO server equipment auction by Auction Factory Texas LLC.
Born in 2011 and based in Austin, TX, InfiniteIO was founded by Chris Richards, principal engineer, David Sommer, VP ops, Jay Rolette, VP engineering, Mark Cree CEO.
It got a total $13.7 million in financial funding from 11 investors, the last round being led by former Motorola CEO and Cleversafe chairman Chris Galvin.
The firm provided interesting technology offering lowest possible latency for file metadata, enabling applications to run faster, reduce development cycles, and increase data productivity. It independently processes file metadata to simultaneously accelerate application performance, minimize cloud latency and reduce storage cost for enterprises.
The shut down was explained by not having enough money to develop a virtual appliance.
