History (1995): StorMedia Signed Agreement With Seagate

Thin-film disk supplier StorMedia (Santa Clara, CA) has signed an agreement with Seagate Technology (Scotts Valley, CA) to construct and operate a new hard disk media manufacturing facility in Singapore that will be dedicated to supporting Seagate.

The plant, to be located in the Loyang area of Singapore, is scheduled to begin shipping finished media in 1Q96.
