History (1995): Lew Frauenfelder President and CEO, Datasonix

Taking over from Jim Greenup

Frauenfelder DatasonixDatasonix (Boulder, CO) names Lew Frauenfelder president and CEO.

 

 

Since 1991, he has served as president of Fujitsu Computer Products of America. He was previously president of Intellistor, a company he founded in 1983. From 1977 to 1983 he was VP of engineering at StorageTek after 10 years with IBM in design and management positions contributing to the development of storage products.

Frauenfelder is taking over from James D. Greenup, 47, founding president and CEO, who is now EVP marketing and sales at Datasonix, a company which developed and markets Pereos, the world’s smallest streamer based on a Sony voice recording mechanism.

Note: Frauenfelder was then CEO of Benchmark Storage Innovations from 1998 to 2002 and SVP of Quantum in 2004, and then CEO of Rebit until 2009 replaced by Paul Guerin.
