History (1995): Seagate Technology Acquires Network Computing

Following diversification strategy in software

Following its diversification strategy in software, Seagate Technology (Scotts Valley, CA) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Network Computing Inc. (Santa Clara, CA), a developer of network management software products for Novel NetWare environments, for an undisclosed amount of cash.

During its quarter ending March 31, Seagate anticipates it will incur a one-time in-process R&D write-off of approximately $5-$6million in connection with the acquisition.
