8th Edition of Storage Unicorn Report in December 2020
Reduced to 13 vendors as Actifio and Datrium acquired
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 31, 2020 at 2:14 pmColdago Research, a storage research firm, released its bi-annual storage unicorn report with 13 companies as 2 of them have been removed from the 7th edition.
In details, Actifio and Datrium were acquired by Google early December and VMware in July, respectively.
As a reminder a private company reaches the unicorn level when its valuation passes the $1 billion.
Thirteen companies belong to this list, in alphabetic order: Acronis, Barracuda Networks, Cohesity, DDN, Druva, Infinidat, Kaseya, Nasuni, Qumulo, Rubrik, VAST Data, Veeam Software and Veritas Technologies.
