This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 22, 2020 at 2:13 pmASBIS Enterprises plc extends its partnership with Seagate Technology plc to distribute and insure the post-sale service of enterprise storage systems for data centers and corporate clients, as well as cooperation on marketing issues with a focus on Central Eastern Europe, Russia, Post-Soviet Union countries, Middle East region and North Africa.
Seagate annually supplies the storage systems market with a total capacity of more than 400EB. In cooperation with ASBIS, Seagate expands its enterprise storage shipments in EMEA region, including storage products of the Exos and Nytro series.
Exos HDDs and Nytro SSDs are designed for enterprise workloads, delivering performance, capacity and reliability, while ensuring data security and instant access. The product line includes a range of disk, hybrid and flash storage for SANs, JBOD systems for server connectivity and capacity scaling, and converged computing platforms for high storage density.
“The signing of a distribution agreement for Seagate Storage Systems further strengthens ASBIS’s position as a VAD distributor and provider of solutions for data centers and corporate clients,” said Marek Horyl, product marketing director, ASBIS. “The solutions we are talking about have actually been known to customers around the world for decades. The only thing is that they were previously only shipped through the sales channels of leading storage vendors such as HPE, Lenovo and Dell EMC. The total installed base of such systems exceeds 1 million systems worldwide – more than any other product in the segment of entry-level storage systems.”
“Today we are especially pleased to be the first to introduce Seagate Storage systems directly from Seagate in the markets of Central Eastern Europe, Russia, Post-Soviet Union countries, Middle East region and North Africa. We are confident that with our efforts, Seagate Storage Systems solutions will soon take the lead in data centers for the region’s largest customers.‘
Seagate Storage systems will be used for a variety of customer tasks, including primary storage for mission-critical applications, server virtualization tasks, all storage tiers of private and hybrid clouds, video surveillance, HPC, backup and recovery systems, data analytics, M&E.
“We are delighted that our strategic partnership with ASBIS, which began in 1992, will be expanded to include the Seagate Systems and Solutions corporate line. For over 40 years we have been producing innovative storage systems. Expanding cooperation with ASBIS is an important step in positioning Seagate as a comprehensive storage provider in the EMEA markets,” commented Alexander Malinin, head of Seagate Technology in Russia.
In addition to supplying hardware, ASBIS team of technical specialists, sales and marketing managers is ready to help system integrators, cloud service providers and data centers in choosing the optimal solution for the growing storage and processing needs, as well as providing first level support for Seagate Storage Systems.
