History (1993): WW Patent Agreement Between Seagate and Areal Technology

Seagate Technology (Scotts valley, CA) and Areal Technology (San Jose, CA) have signed a worldwide patent cross license agreement.

Each company will be able to use the technologies covered by the actual and future patents of the other one. Areal, a subsidiary of Tomen Electronics and Tottori Sanyo of Japan, has skills mainly in glass media and small form factors.
