Avalanche Technology: Availability of Industrial-Grade Serial Persistent SRAM Memory Devices

With standard SPI interface operating at up to 50MHz clock rate in one and 4Mb density options, in 2 packages (8-pin SOIC and 8-pin WSON)

Avalanche Technology, Inc. announced availability of industrial-grade Serial (SPI) P-SRAM (Persistent SRAM) memory devices.

The Serial (SPI) memory devices are designed to be drop-in replacements to the Cypress F-RAM and Everspin Toggle MRAM memory products.

With this new product release, Avalanche is enabling a high performance and reliable second source to formerly single-sourced products, thus providing customers supply chain continuity,” said Danny Sabour, VP, marketing and business development. “The industry-standard architecture, interface, features and packages enable a simple drop-in solution that eliminates costly re-designs of the system.

The Serial (SPI) series is offered with a standard SPI interface operating at up to 50MHz clock rate in one and 4Mb density options, in two packages – 8-pin SOIC and 8-pin WSON. This series of Serial P-SRAM devices is for non-volatile memory applications such as program storage and data logging in factory automation, motor control, human machine interfaces, smart meters, and multi-function printers.

Availability:

  • The company’s Serial (SPI) P-SRAM products are in production in 1Mb and 4Mb densities.

  • 8Mb and 16Mb options in the same package will be available in the 4Q20 for customers requiring an upgrade path for existing designs.
