Qnap QuTScloud, Virtual NAS Solution for Running QTS NAS OS on Server Virtualization Platforms

Qnap Systems, Inc. announced that the QuTScloud, a virtual appliance based on QTS NAS OS, supports server virtualization platforms.

QuTScloud is available through license subscription and can be implemented on enterprises’ private data centers as a VM that is hosted on hypervisors, including Linux KVM, Hyper-V, and VMware ESXi, as well as on a company’s NAS (via VM Marketplace in Virtualization Station).

With QuTScloud, organizations can set up a virtual NAS on their existing on-premise data centers to acquire multiple NAS features without the need for additional investments in NAS hardware. In addition to saving costs, energy, and storage space, it provides a storage gateway for enterprises looking for private and hybrid cloud solutions.

QuTScloud provides users with a near-identical user experience and feature set as QTS. The inclusive App Center offers a wide range of free and premium apps for boosting QuTScloud functionality and adding more features.

Supports CIFS/SMB, NFS, AFP, and iSCSI protocols for file access.
Windows AD and LDAP integration simplify directory management.
Data uploaded to major cloud storage (via HBS, HybridMount/ or VJBOD Cloud) can be mounted in the QuTScloud instance.
Streamline backup and restoration processes with snapshots and versioning.
Search engine Qsirch to locate enterprise files instantly.
Supports myQnapcloud Link service for connecting to QuTScloud with a unique domain name without the need to configure a static IP address.
