Wiwynn Corporation, New Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (10,628,362) developed by Wang, Hsien-Yu, New Taipei, Taiwan, for a “database metadata in immutable storage.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A storage device for graphic processors and a configuration setting adjusting method are provided. The method includes: obtaining a chassis connection status by a processor according to a first chassis electrically connected to an input/output module, reading a first initial configuration setting in a switching circuit of the first chassis by the processor, obtaining a host connection status by the processor according to at least one first connection interface electrically connected to at least one first host, and determining whether the first initial configuration setting is applicable to the chassis connection status and the host connection status by the processor according to the chassis connection status, the host connection status and a preset rule, if not, adjusting, by the processor, the first initial configuration setting of the first chassis to another configuration setting which is applicable to the chassis connection status and the host connection status.”
The patent application was filed on August 2, 2018 (16/052,633).
Detecting topology, compute node, and storage node
Wiwynn Corporation, New Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (10,567,268) developed by Huang, Kuo-Yi, and Yu, Pei-Ling, New Taipei, Taiwan, for “method for detecting topology, compute node, and storage node.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A method for detecting topology, a compute node, and a storage node are proposed. In this disclosure, the compute node and the storage node exchange identity information with each other. Next, each of the compute node and the storage node combines the identity information thereof and the identification information of the other based on the same rule to generate the same connection identification for characterizing the connection relationship between the compute node and the storage node. Accordingly, the maintenance and management of a data center may be more convenient and less expensive.”
The patent application was filed on May 17, 2018 (15/981,904).
Storage system and control
Wiwynn Corporation, New Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (10,534,416) developed by Chang, Li-Min, Lai, Kai Jie, Yen, Chia-Hung, and Chen, Po Yu, New Taipei, Taiwan, for “storage system and control method.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”A control method for communicating with an external device includes the steps of: when the external device is coupled to a connector, receiving a device existence voltage from the external device, generating a first control signal and a second control signal according to the device existence voltage, coupling a first voltage source or a second voltage source to the connector according to the first control signal, such that a first voltage of the first voltage source or a second voltage of the second voltage source is used as a supply voltage of the external device, and coupling a third voltage source or a fourth voltage source to an output node according to the second control signal, such that a third voltage of the third voltage source or a fourth voltage of the fourth voltage source is used as a tunable output voltage at the output node.”
The patent application was filed on July 10, 2019 (16/507,729).
