History (1991): Microscience Manufactures HDDs in China

Microscience International (San Jose, CA) is the only foreign hard disk drive maker in China.

The company shifted production of its 5.25-inch 40MB units to China in November last year and intends to transfer the production of its 3.5-inch 40MB model in 3Q91 from Singapore to China.
