SVC Storage Engine models SA2 and SV2 are the hardware components of the SVC storage virtualization system.
These models offer increased flexibility to enable clients to align SVC hardware with their specific needs.
Model SA2 is an entry-level SVC engine with 2 8-core processors running at 2.10GHz, offering a cost-effective solution.
Model SV2 is a SVC engine with 2 16-core processors running at 2.30GHz for clients seeking highest performance.
Both models have following options:
- 128GB memory standard, with options to increase memory up to 768GB per SVC node
- 16 and 32Gb FC, and 25GbE iSCSI/RoCE/iWARP over Ethernet connectivity options
- Built-in hardware-assisted compression acceleration for Data Reduction Pool (DRP) Compression workloads
- The ability to cluster existing SVC systems with previous generation SVC storage engine models
These models are delivered in a 2U, 19-inch, rack-mount enclosure. Models for machine type 2145 models include a 1-year warranty with on-site service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and models for machine type 2147 include a 3-year warranty with enterprise-class support.
