Informs user if flash disk needs to be updated.
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 20, 2019 at 3:12 pmWilk Elektronik SA, a Polish memory manufacturer and owner of the GOODRAM brand, releases a firmware update for the SSD model, CX300.
The firmware update is designed to increase the performance and the lifespan of the CX300 models, those purchased in the recent past as well as those bought a few years ago. The updating application informs the user if the SSD needs to be updated. In case the SSD reports to the application that it contains the latest firmware version, it should not be updated.
In order to run the firmware update the following steps should be taken:
– Plug the drive into the 6Gb SATA III – the update will fail if the drive is connected to the USB port
– Before running the application, make a backup copy of the data stored on the updated SSD. The update itself does not delete data, but if the update process fails, the data may be lost forever
– Unzip and run the file by choosing the appropriate SSD
– Click Upgrade firmware
– Follow the instructions displayed on the screen
The firmware update is available in English version.
